The Tony-Award-winning revival of Sondheim's musical closed briefly in June due to Catherine Zeta-Jones' and Angela Lansbury's expiring contracts, but is now back on Broadway with Bernadette Peters as Desirée Armfeldt and Elaine Stritch as her mother, Madame Armfeldt, a former courtesan who numbers kings among her lovers.
The video shows Peters singing SEND IN THE CLOWNS, but she is oversinging the song, IMO. Elaine Stritch fares better with her big number LIAISONS which is basically a comical word-song. The rest of the cast is the same as before.

"Little Night Music" Revival Back on B'way w/ New Cast! Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch are the new leads!

I'll be in NYC for a one-night stay in a couple of weeks, and if my planets align, I may be able to see the show (granted if it's playing that night or matinee and there are last minute tix available for my friend and me). I'd much rather see Peters and Stritch than CZJ and Lansbury.
I read a few weeks ago that Peters and Stritch came through at the last minute - right after the 'closing' signs were posted in June. They then had to announce it was 'coming back' with the new cast.
